As early as I can remember, I was always around trains. My brother and I were introduced to railroading by our parents, and it was no surprise that I found a career on the Railroad.

While working one day, I was walking along some rail cars that were heading out of the Port of San Francisco.

As I was walking, I tripped over a joint bar, a piece of metal used to connect two rails together. I stood and looked at the joint bar, thinking that it was the same shape and color of a chocolate bar.
The idea of RAILBAR struck me, and became a reality.

And ultimately, after being laid off, I began to focus all my efforts on RAILBAR.
From then on, it was full steam ahead!
